A Pre-Christmas Catch Up
Hello my friends!
You may or may not have noticed that there hasn't been a blog post from me in an age (1 month to be more accurate!) so I thought now that I had a free evening I would have a little pre-Christmas catch up with you guys.
Quite a lot has been happening hence why blogging was put on the back-burner. Firstly, I got a new job! If you don't know already I am a secondary school teacher but I haven't really been successful getting a full time job in that. For the past couple of months I've been unemployed with the odd few days here and there teaching in schools, when other teachers are out. I really wanted to get another full time job until I find something more consistent teaching because I was getting very bored spending days and sometimes weeks on end at home. Also, lets be real here, I wanted a steady income!
My luck was in at the end of November when I was offered a full time job working in a local supermarket. It's obviously not something I see myself doing for a very long time but right now I'm pretty happy with it. It took me awhile to get used to not having as much free time with working 11 to 8 five days a week. I've also had a run in or two with some seriously rude customers but overall I'm happy. Everyone I work with is so lovely, I feel like I have made lots of new friends already and I enjoy interacting with more people on a day to day basis than I have done in months. It just feels much better to be keeping busy!
Today is the first day I've spent at home chilling since I started working. Every day I had off I went to visit my boyfriend and spend some time with him. He has just gone on holidays to bloomin' Australia for the next three weeks though! It's crazy to think he's so far away right now. It makes me a bit sad but I know he will be back before I know it so I don't think I will miss him too much with work and the festive period to distract me!
Speaking of which, It really is feeling a lot like Christmas for me this year. I'm not entirely sure why but I'm really getting in the spirit, I even have Christmas FM on in my car! Like the last couple of years I will be spending the day with my family at my sisters house, I'm majorly excited for all the yummy food and drinks and giving everyone their presents, I'm also hoping to meet up with some friends I haven't seen in a while who are home from college!
Let me know in the comments if you're excited for Christmas and what your plans for it are!
Merry Christmas to all of you lovely people, I hope it's a very happy and healthy one for you and your family and all your Christmas wishes come true. Thank you so much to everyone who has read my blog and left a comment throughout the year, it really has meant so much! I'm sure I'll be blogging again before the new year xx
