2015 You've Been A Gem

Every year as December comes to an end I find myself reflecting on the year that was and everything that has happened to me throughout. During the year, I take one day at a time, and I probably take for granted some experiences and new blessings in my life. But at this time of the year, I look back on everything as a whole which gives me the perspective to see how much things have changed and how many of my wishes have actually come true.

This time last year, there were some things in my life that I felt were missing. I was dying to get a full time job and I was hoping to find a nice man in 2015 too, however unlikely I thought it was. It's funny how you forget how much you wanted something once you get it and it doesn't seem like such a big deal any more. Yes, I haven't got a full time job in my actual career, but I have got something steady and that is a million times better than where I was at the beginning of the year and I definitely see it as a win. I have also been incredibly lucky to be in the right place at the right time and to bump in to a random man on one faithful evening who turned out to be everything I'd been looking for and  who quickly became not only my boyfriend but my very best friend.

Another huge highlight of this year was getting to travel Italy. I cannot wait to see more of the world, I'm going to try and see at least two European cities this year, Prague and maybe Amsterdam or Berlin, what do you think?!

Sure, there were some minor low points this year but I'm happy to say the highs definitely over shadow them. It's been a great year and I'm feeling really enthusiastic for 2016.

I encourage you all just to take a minute to think about all the good things that have happened in your year. I'm sure there is at least one thing you wished for at the start that has come true, be happy and appreciate that, I sure am!

Happy New Year to all of you lovely people, I hope it's one to remember and all of your dreams come true.
