My Go-To Natural Make-Up Look
I thought I would mix things up on my blog a bit and do a face of the day blog post! Now, I don't know about you but I definitely prefer to keep my make-up looking natural on a day to day basis. A fresh face with a neutral lip and eye is what I go for most of the time. I save my bold lips, smoky eyes and eye-liner for when I'm going on a night out or have a special event. I don't really want to look like I'm obviously wearing make-up when I'm just going shopping or meeting friends, I just want to make the most of what I have naturally and even out my skin tone. So here is what I use to achieve this look.
Maybeline Dream Fresh BB Cream
Collection Natural Perfection Concealer
Soap and Glory 'Solar Powder'
Soap and Glory 'Glow All Out'
L'Oreal True Match Blush
Uban Decay Naked 2 - 'Bootycall' all over the lid. 'Tease' on the outer corner and I used it to fill in my brows.
Rimmel Brow This Way Gel
L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes
Revlon Colour Burst Balm Stain in 'Honey'
Once all of the above is strategically slapped on my face the result looks a little something like this...
I really love the BB cream as it is so light and sits so well on the skin. No one would know you're wearing anything! they would just think you've got naturally glowing and even skin. It's not great for covering spots, which I have a lot of on my chin so I do use a heavier foundation when I'm feeling a little more insecure, but this with some collection concealer works well when I'm not too bothered. The little bit of 'bootycall' and 'tease' from the Naked 2 palette on my eyes are barely noticeable but they do make my eyes subtly pop. I loooove the Honey lipstick (crayon thingy?) It's just a total my lips but better colour.
Let me know what you think of this look and if you would like me to do more posts like this. I'm thinking maybe a nice Autumn face of the day might be fun?!
