Perfectionist Problems

I don't know about you but I'm a perfectionist, I always have been. I can't rest until things are as perfect as they possibly can be. This frame of mind has it's obvious perks but sometimes it can be a drag and I really wish that sometimes I just didn't give a sh*t haha. Here are some of the things that  I do that irritate me and others around me!
  • My make-up takes 10 times longer than it normally should to do, much to the annoyance of everyone waiting on me.
  • I stay up until 2am finishing assignments/blog posts/lesson plans etc because I need to get them 'on point' and it can never wait until morning.
  • Scruffy, chipped nails cause me so much unnecessary stress.
  • I won't let anyone help me do anything because I know it won't be up to my standards.
  • Fake tanning is the biggest effort. It never seems to be completely seamless so I don't bother doing it at all. Therefore, I'm pasty all year round!
  • I'm rubbish at teaching small kids to do things because when they don't do it right it drives me potty.
  • I will obsess over my blog design, no matter what there will always be something wrong. I would almost lose sleep at night over something like the space between my social media icons being uneven.
  • Clothes must match. At all times.....or else! Even if I'm at home all day, it would literally pain me to wear clashing colours or patterns.
Do you have to cope with being a perfectionist too? It can be stressful can't it? haha! Let me know in the comments if there is anything you would like to add to this list. I'm sure there are millions more #perfectionistprobs.

I can relate to this so much, Just yesterday I painted my nails 3 times because I wasn't happy with how they looked. It also takes me forever to do my make-up. Really enjoyed this post Sinead :)

So maybe I'm half of a perfectionist. Having a child really pulls most of your attention, but there are things I obsess over. My makeup being one of them. I wake up at 5:30 just to have extra time to make sure everything looks good. I can't go to bed with dishes in the sink. Even if its a fork. And I like folding blankets? Odd.
I also am obsessed with laying out all the makeup products I'm going to use the night before. I call it: "Picking out my face."

I used to be such a major perfectionist, I would paint my nails over and over again until they were perfect. I decided to take graphics and art at GCSE - major mistake! Every piece of work would end up in the bin countless times because I wasn't happy with it, only ending with me having to stay after school to get work finished. I feel I'm a little more relaxed now but some things still totally bother me, like my blog and my photos not being perfect x

I used to think I was a perfectionist, and I guess I am in the sense that I do lose sleep over stupid tiny imperfections and some things just need to be done absolutely right, but I'm not a perfectionist when it comes to everything. I guess it's a matter of deciding which things are important enough that they need to be perfect. Like, at the moment I'm wearing an ugly mustard coloured t-shirt with white and pink baggy shorts but I don't really mind because there's no one around to see me (other than my mum). But I guess we all want to be perfect at everything, or aspire to be anyway.

my clothes have to match or "go" whenever I go out but I do not care when I am home... I wear crazy colors here and I love it :P I used to take forever doing my make-up but now I can get ready in 5-10 minutes! woo hoo!

Ugh I do that too. I get SO annoyed when they smudge the tiniest bit after painting them. Haha I can imagine :) xxx
