Soap and Glory | 'Sexy Mother Pucker' Gloss Sticks
OK I got a lot of Soap and Glory cosmetics over the Christmas so expect lots of reviews on them in the coming month or so. First up is the Soap and Glory 'Sexy Mother Pucker' gloss sticks. These have been a huge deal for beauty fanatics all year so I was really excited to try them out! I got three of them in the shades 'Nudest', 'Fuschia-ristic' and 'Plum Jam'.
Nudest is, as the name suggests, a nude colour. It is the perfect nude as it's not too light and doesn't make you look dead. It really doesn't add much colour to your lips at all, it just make them look glossy, moisturised and give a 'your lips but better' look. I love to wear this for a casual look.
Fuschia-ristic, is a really nice fuschia shade, to me it is the perfect pink! The colour is not too opaque as it is just a gloss stick.
Plum Jam is my favourite. It is a lovely deep red but not as intense and as scary as a red lipstick. Definitely a good choice if you want to work the red lip trend but on a more subtle level.
Overall, I really like these gloss sticks. They go on so smoothly. They feel really moisturising and are in no way drying. They have a slight taste and smell to them which I usually hate in a lip products, but these ones are quite nice and don't bother me at all. They give a lovely 3D shine to the lips and the colours are beautiful and natural. Finally, these last quite a while on the lips, obviously not as long as a lipstick or a stain but that's to be expected. The only thing I don't like about them is the can feel slightly sticky after a while.
Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend these to anyone who hasn't already tried them, they have become a staple for my everyday make-up looks.
